Please read below final details for the Isle of Wight residential which your child is attending. There will be no formal meeting before the trip but staff will be available for a drop in question and answer session on Tuesday 12th June from 3.15pm until 4.15pm.
On the morning of the residential please bring children in via the main school reception at 7.30am. Once the children have arrived you will be required to sign them in with the designated adult on check in. At this point, any medication as well as spending money needs to be handed over to the adults on check in. The children will then be asked to move into the hall where they will remain with their things until it is time to depart. All parents are welcome to stay with their children if they wish but close to departure will be asked to wait on the pavement outside to wave us off.
Please make sure that all kit your child is bringing is clearly labelled with their name and they have packed their own bag under supervision so they know where all of their items are upon arrival. This will be tagged by academy staff as the children arrive on Monday morning and placed in a pile in the hall ready to loaded onto the coach.
Separately to this, children need to have their day back complete with: a packed lunch, two filled water bottles, any puzzles or small activities for the coach, a camera if they are taking one as well as their waterproof coat and sun cream. On the first day the children need to ideally be dressed in shorts, t-shirt and a jumper as Amazon World is incredibly warm.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
